Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, co-owners of Chelsea, have paid tribute to Gianluca Vialli, the club’s former player and manager, who died at the age of 58.Information Guide Nigeria
After a long fight with cancer, the former striker died at the age of 58. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer for the second time in 2021, after being given the all-clear in April 2020 after a 17-month battle with the same disease.
Vialli joined Chelsea as a player in 1996 and was made player-manager when Ruud Gullit was released of his duties in 1998, at the age of 33. Chelsea co-owners Boehly and Eghbali wrote a touching homage to the great after his death.NYSC portal

As a manager, he led Chelsea to FA Cup victory in the final held at the old Wembley Stadium in 2000. More recently, he served as delegation chief alongside close friend Roberto Mancini as Italy won the Euro 2020 championship.
